There are incentives available in Kimball for new and expanding industry. The Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act (LB 840)
The Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act (LB 840, 1991) authorizes incorporated cities and villages to collect and appropriate local tax dollars (sales and/or property tax) if approved by a board of local citizens, for economic development purposes.
The Kimball LB-840 offers a revolving loan fund for additional financing beyond traditional means, job training, and relocation reimbursement.

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides Nebraskans with safe, affordable and accessible housing and infrastructure; quality jobs and investment through financing new and expanding businesses.

The Nebraska Advantage
Nebraska has created a multi-tier benefit package based upon number of jobs built and total investment. The package ranges from a
Refund of of the sales tax paid for qualified capital purchases at the project, the full sliding scale wage credit of 3, 4, 5 or 6% depending on wage level, and a 3% investment tax credit. Source : Nebraska Department of Economic Development

Refund of all sales tax on projects capital purchases, 10% job credit on new employee compensationwage thresholds per new position are the greater of 200% of the county average wage OR 150% of the Neb. average wage, 15% investment credit, and personal property tax exemption for all personal property at the project for up to 10 years.

Sales and Use Tax
Sales tax in Kimball is 7.5% (5% state, 2.5% city). Manufacturing machinery, equipment, and related services can be exempt from both state and local sales tax.

Nebraska Customized Job Training Advantage
Nebraska can provide a flexible and discretionary job training program with grants from $800 to $4,000 per qualified new job.

InternNE
The InternNE program promotes keeping local talent in Nebraska while helping companies utilize these students. Nebraska will grant 40% (up $3500) up to 10 interns (5 per location).
